20th anniversary of the foundation – Saturday, September 10th at 2:30 pm

On September 10th, the Corporation Gaspé, Birthplace of Canada will celebrate its 20th anniversary during an event on the site. Having long dreamed of rebuilding the site where he had lived for many years, it was in 2002 that Mr. Fabien Sinnett founded the Corporation. He wanted to preserve and enhance the rich history of Gaspé and offer the population a place to gather on the waterfront in downtown Gaspé. Accompanied by volunteers sharing his vision, he succeeded in rallying the necessary partners to realize the project until the first shovel of earth in 2012. After a break-in period, the Birthplace of Canada site was officially inaugurated on July 24, 2016 with all the partners involved.

Our team, our president and founder, Mr. Fabien Sinnett, as well as some of our partners will be on hand to remind you of the highlights of the past 20 years.
