Fabien Sinnett, founder of the Gaspé, Birthplace of Canada corporation
Fabien Sinnett is the driving force behind the Gaspé, Birthplace of Canada project. Fabien’s tenacity, commitment and vision led him to create the Gaspé, Birthplace of Canada corporation in 2002. The idea of giving people back a way to learn about Gaspé’s history and to have a gathering place in the heart of downtown, on the waterfront, had been germinating for a long time.
He believed in the project and succeeded, one thing leading to another, in rallying people and going out to find the partners and funds needed to bring this unifying project to fruition. Since the inauguration in 2016, the site has become a popular place to visit. It has become “the heart of downtown” and is widely used by locals and visitors.
