The Birthplace of Canada launches its 2025 season with an enriched program Season extended to October 31, digital innovations and new partnerships 

Gaspé, May 26, 2025 – The Birthplace of Canada proudly announces the launch of its 2025 season on June 2, marked by several major new features. The historic site will extend its season until October 31, to welcome the local population and meet the needs of the booming autumn tourism market. 

An extended season and extended opening hours 

As usual, the Birthplace of Canada will be open 7 days a week, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering captivating historical tours, a well-stocked gift store and a tavern (12-7 p.m.) where you can enjoy a local beer or coffee while taking in the unique ambience of the site. Restrooms are now open every day of the summer season, until 9pm. 

Enhanced digital experience 

The site is modernized with a completely redesigned website for intuitive navigation, a new web application offering interactive tours and the launch of an online boutique in autumn 2025. 

Enriched programming 

– Guided group tours, in French and English, daily 

– Old-time printing workshops with Véronique Bouchard, Fridays and Sundays, June 27-August 24 

– Soirées citoyennes, 5-7 Tuesdays, June to October 

– Soirées Desjardins, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 6 p.m., June 23-August 14 

– Historical lectures 

– Craft demonstrations in collaboration with Gespeg 

– Public markets, Saturdays, July 5-October 4 

– And many more surprises for a summer of fun!
